Hello, how are you!?! Are you working on anything fun? I’d love to hear about it. Send pics!

I finally finished the front (or back) of the bamboo mesh sweater. I think I’m just going to make it sleeveless so I can be done with it sooner. I’ve tried so many different things with this bamboo yarn. I’m never going to like it. I’ll either use the rest on something like fringe or tassels, or I’ll give it to one of my kids who crochet. At least I know I gave it a fair shot before breaking up with it.

I learned so much about bamboo and my patience over the course of all the making and frogging. I don’t regret it, but I’ll be glad when it’s over! 🤣🤪 If it was any other color, I’d frog the whole thing right now and never touch the yarn again. Without batting an eyelash! But it matches my hair, so I really want something finished with it.

Since my current yarn project is no fun, I’m making something different that IS fun. It’s tentatively called The Rule Breaker’s Permission Slip and Finishing Matrix. It also has a Frog Log. It’s almost ready, so I’ll send you the free link next week. Keep an eye on your inbox next Friday!

Just in case you ever wondered how hard it is for me to get this newsletter out to you, please see the evidence below. This 7-pound boy will not allow me to type. My sweet little Sausage doesn’t mind what I do, as long as she can stay nearby!

Have a great week, see you next Friday with goodies!

Thanks for being here!

Hello! How has your week been? My week has been... how should I say it... eventful. 😬 To start with, Bruno had a botfly under his skin! It was disgusting and so sad. And it took some time for the vet to figure out what it was, so lots of cone time. I don't know if you can tell from photos, but Bruno has the neck of a giraffe. We tried a cone that was tiny enough to fit around his neck and he could reach right around it. Then we tried combining a stuffed donut with the little cone. No luck....

Hey there! How are you!?! I’m feeling invigorated this week! I took last week off for a staycation. After a long, lazy summer, I had some housekeeping to do. Fall is my favorite season, and September through December are my busiest/funnest months of the year. I like to head into this time prepared, so I can really enjoy it. Chris and I spent the week cleaning, hanging art, setting up the bones of my art studio, and getting out Halloween decorations. And we topped it off with a concert! We saw...

Hello! Friday again! How was your week? I have one more ear to put on my Cat Hat! Wait ‘til you see what I did. 🫣 When I took it out to finally finish, there were 3 sizes of needles in the project bag. And I, of all people, didn’t have a project sheet in there with the details! But I did remember taking a picture to show you my progress previously. So I got out the picture and all the needles in my project bag, and compared them! It actually worked!!! So then I started picking up the stitches...
