Worsted shawl pattern inside 🧶

Hello!

How are you? I’m so excited to show you something I did in Reno!

I got to go to Jimmy Beans Wool! While my husband was doing conferencey things, a friend of mine who lives there took me yarn shopping!

I was so awestruck I didn’t even play this claw machine! Looking at the picture now, I’m like “why didn’t I even try?” I guess I’ll have to go back next year. With a big ol’ bag of quarters!

I did manage to find some yarn! The two on top are going to be a Kraken hat, so stay tuned for that.

Free Pattern!

The 4th week of every month (starting now! 🤣🤪), I send out a free pattern. You can download it right in the email without having to put your email address in again. This one is called Reap What You Sow, and you can download it here 👉🏻 Reap What You Sow final.pdf

I love this one because the stripes remind me of rows of crops (hence the name!)! It’s knit with a strand of worsted and a strand of lace weight held together. You could totally leave out The lace if you wanted.

It’s warm and cozy AND geometric and orderly! What’s not to love!?! Oh- and FREE! 🤣 Download it now so you have it for a rainy day.

____________ of the week:

Pattern

I’ve worn this hat a million times. It’s one of my favorites! It’s slouchy and the stars give off a superhero vibe.

Sticker

Halloween yarn! I wish I was knitting with Halloween colors right now! But I can’t because as soon as I finish writing to you, I’ve got to walk to school and get my babies! Are you too busy to knit today, too? Buy yourself a yarn sticker and see if that makes you feel better! 🤪

Bruno

I think this picture speaks for itself. Bruno is a cutie.

3 cool things:

Store bought decor we could totally make ourselves. But I love it!

More crocheted decor. This one is just okay in my opinion. But it inspires me to make a cuter one!

My finished festival beer cozies! I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t add…

I still need to weave in the ends! 🤣🤪 Go ahead and make bets on whether I actually do. All those ends are just one more layer of wool to insulate our beer!

That’s all I have for you this week! Stay tuned next week for more fun! If you need me before then, just hit reply and let me know what’s on your mind. In the meantime, stay crafty!

P.S. Starting on October 4th, I’m sending out emails all about crafting holiday gifts. It’s going out every Friday until the end of the year. I have all 13 weeks mapped out and I think you’re gonna like it. I’m putting patterns and gift tags and all kinds of fun stuff in them. Watch your inbox on Fridays, starting October 4th!

Hello! How are you? I’m making slow but steady progress on my love/hate cardigan. I seriously can't wait to wear this thing! Bruno approves! Now onto the big news. I wasn’t kidding in that subject line. I’m done trying to monetize my knitting. I’ve been thinking about this for a long time, and the other day I had this feeling of knowing come over me. It’s time to let it go. ❄️ I added my first patterns to Ravelry over 14 years ago. At the time I had 3 small kids and I was looking for...

Hello! How are you? I have about a million pictures to share this week. It’s Behind the Scenes Week, and I’m very busy! 🤣🤪 Read on to see what I’m up to! Behind the Scenes Strawberry Lemonade is finished! Kind of. 🤣🤪 I still need to weave in the ends! The top one is the final version. What do you think? There’s so much cute fruit-themed stuff everywhere these days, I thought it would be fun to make our own! I’m not sure yet if I’m going to publish this as a paid pattern, or if I’m going to...

Hello! How are you? Two weeks into 2025 already! We still have a year-sized blank canvas laid out before us. What are you going to splatter yours with? Block out one Saturday a month for a fun family outing? Give one of your rooms a makeover with your own handmade deliciousness? Get even more amazing at something you’re already doing? (I’m looking at you, Merry Mail!) A fresh, crisp new year always gets the ideas flowing for me. This time I’m trying to set a realistic timeline for myself, so...
