🧶 So many pics inside! 🧶

Hello!

How are you? I have about a million pictures to share this week. It’s Behind the Scenes Week, and I’m very busy! 🤣🤪 Read on to see what I’m up to!

Behind the Scenes

Strawberry Lemonade is finished! Kind of. 🤣🤪 I still need to weave in the ends! The top one is the final version. What do you think? There’s so much cute fruit-themed stuff everywhere these days, I thought it would be fun to make our own! I’m not sure yet if I’m going to publish this as a paid pattern, or if I’m going to make it a prize for referring your friends to this newsletter. Which would you prefer? (Buttons lead to random Etsy listings so I can count the votes)

I also finished the banana lip balm cozy / bag charm! I’m going to make a few more to make sure the pattern holds up, and I need to attach a ring and a clip. Bruno is a huge fan of both lip balm and bananas, as you can see. I’ll put more from this photo shoot below! 🤣😍

I started the first piece in my bathroom accessories collection. This is going to be a cute little shallow tray.

I’m still teaching my best friend to knit. She’s working on Grandma’s Favorite Dishcloth, so I made a tiny one to show her the decreases. Luckily, I have a kid who is super into making Barbie stuff. She was thrilled to get this for her kitchen.

Here’s a pdf of the classic dishcloth pattern if you need it:

I’m waiting for this yarn to ship so I can knit myself a Sleeping Beauty sweater. I’m going on a super short Disney trip in 6 weeks, so I’m going to have to work fast if I want to bring it. I do this every time I go on a trip! 🤣🤪 I think of something I want to make and bring when there’s barely enough time to pull it off. I also do it at Christmas. I’ll probably never change!

By the time you’re reading this, I’m busy cutting and folding! Merry Mail is about to ship for March. I also finally made an official welcome packet instead of making a unique one each time. All current subscribers are going to get a welcome packet this month as well as the March envelope. There’s still time to subscribe for March!

3 cool things:

I got all my current and upcoming projects loaded into this cart. I love being able to see what I’m working on at a glance!

This early pattern of mine is getting renewed attention lately. I think hoods are popular again??? I love this hooded scarf because it also has pockets at the ends of the scarf. It looks equally cute with the hood up or down, too, so it’s easy to wear. You can see more on Etsy or Ravelry.

Here’s a couple more pics of Bruno loving the lip balm banana! He’s too cute!

That’s all I have for you this week! Stay tuned next week for a FREE pattern! If you need me before then, just hit reply and let me know what’s on your mind. In the meantime, stay crafty!

P.S. Don’t forget to subscribe to Merry Mail if you haven’t yet! Here’s one more Bruno pic! 🤣🤪

Hello! How has your week been? My week has been... how should I say it... eventful. 😬 To start with, Bruno had a botfly under his skin! It was disgusting and so sad. And it took some time for the vet to figure out what it was, so lots of cone time. I don't know if you can tell from photos, but Bruno has the neck of a giraffe. We tried a cone that was tiny enough to fit around his neck and he could reach right around it. Then we tried combining a stuffed donut with the little cone. No luck....

Hey there! How are you!?! I’m feeling invigorated this week! I took last week off for a staycation. After a long, lazy summer, I had some housekeeping to do. Fall is my favorite season, and September through December are my busiest/funnest months of the year. I like to head into this time prepared, so I can really enjoy it. Chris and I spent the week cleaning, hanging art, setting up the bones of my art studio, and getting out Halloween decorations. And we topped it off with a concert! We saw...

Hello! Friday again! How was your week? I have one more ear to put on my Cat Hat! Wait ‘til you see what I did. 🫣 When I took it out to finally finish, there were 3 sizes of needles in the project bag. And I, of all people, didn’t have a project sheet in there with the details! But I did remember taking a picture to show you my progress previously. So I got out the picture and all the needles in my project bag, and compared them! It actually worked!!! So then I started picking up the stitches...
