🏝️ The best vacation knitting project ☀️

Happy Friday! I’m in vacation mode! I hope you’ve got fun plans for the weekend!

I thought I’d show you what I decided to bring with me to Hawaii.

IT’S A SQUARE!!!!!! 🤣🤪🤣🤪🤣

Okay. It’s (going to be) 3 squares.

I always have a bandana or a cute patterned cloth napkin on me. Tied on my bag or tucked inside. I find uses for them constantly. Makeshift cup cozy, wrap up small purchases, clean up something I spilled on myself 🫣.

I kept thinking it would be cute to knit one. I guess I thought it 2 different times and then abandoned it, because I found these two in a pile of WIPs.

Anyway, this is perfect vacation knitting. It’s tiny, you don’t need a pattern, and it’s relaxing to work on.

If a square is too boring for you, I recommend my Downtime shawl pattern for something that doesn’t require much thought or my Everywhen shawl if you want some unique shaping to keep you on your toes!

I’ll show you how much I actually get done next week!

Thanks for being here!

Hello! How has your week been? My week has been... how should I say it... eventful. 😬 To start with, Bruno had a botfly under his skin! It was disgusting and so sad. And it took some time for the vet to figure out what it was, so lots of cone time. I don't know if you can tell from photos, but Bruno has the neck of a giraffe. We tried a cone that was tiny enough to fit around his neck and he could reach right around it. Then we tried combining a stuffed donut with the little cone. No luck....

Hey there! How are you!?! I’m feeling invigorated this week! I took last week off for a staycation. After a long, lazy summer, I had some housekeeping to do. Fall is my favorite season, and September through December are my busiest/funnest months of the year. I like to head into this time prepared, so I can really enjoy it. Chris and I spent the week cleaning, hanging art, setting up the bones of my art studio, and getting out Halloween decorations. And we topped it off with a concert! We saw...

Hello! Friday again! How was your week? I have one more ear to put on my Cat Hat! Wait ‘til you see what I did. 🫣 When I took it out to finally finish, there were 3 sizes of needles in the project bag. And I, of all people, didn’t have a project sheet in there with the details! But I did remember taking a picture to show you my progress previously. So I got out the picture and all the needles in my project bag, and compared them! It actually worked!!! So then I started picking up the stitches...
