🧶 I've officially sworn off this yarn until the end of time

Hey there! How has your week been? I’m feeling so much lighter this week. I finally did it. I broke up with the bamboo yarn for good. I’m so much happier.

Now that I’m free to start something I actually want to make, I’m going to start a new sample of my Cat Hat. It’s due for a refresh in a different yarn. My plan is to use some leftover Germantown worsted that I have on hand. I’ll let you know how it goes next week.

If you missed it last week, I made a new free resource for you. It’s called The Rule Breaker’s Permission Slip and Finishing Matrix. It’s fun and useful, like me. 🤣🤪 After you download it, come back and hit reply to tell me which part is your favorite. My favorite part is the Finishing Matrix.

If you get bored this weekend, you can poke around on my website and see some of the updates. Home, Start Here, and About are pretty much done for now. Patterns is still under construction. Eventually each of those pictures will be clickable and lead to a detailed page about the pattern.

But that’s a job for next week. This weekend is all about enjoying my knitting again! I hope you get to enjoy some knitting, too!

Thanks for being here!

Hello! How has your week been? My week has been... how should I say it... eventful. 😬 To start with, Bruno had a botfly under his skin! It was disgusting and so sad. And it took some time for the vet to figure out what it was, so lots of cone time. I don't know if you can tell from photos, but Bruno has the neck of a giraffe. We tried a cone that was tiny enough to fit around his neck and he could reach right around it. Then we tried combining a stuffed donut with the little cone. No luck....

Hey there! How are you!?! I’m feeling invigorated this week! I took last week off for a staycation. After a long, lazy summer, I had some housekeeping to do. Fall is my favorite season, and September through December are my busiest/funnest months of the year. I like to head into this time prepared, so I can really enjoy it. Chris and I spent the week cleaning, hanging art, setting up the bones of my art studio, and getting out Halloween decorations. And we topped it off with a concert! We saw...

Hello! Friday again! How was your week? I have one more ear to put on my Cat Hat! Wait ‘til you see what I did. 🫣 When I took it out to finally finish, there were 3 sizes of needles in the project bag. And I, of all people, didn’t have a project sheet in there with the details! But I did remember taking a picture to show you my progress previously. So I got out the picture and all the needles in my project bag, and compared them! It actually worked!!! So then I started picking up the stitches...
