🧶 I’m almost done with my fall housekeeping!

Hey there! How are you!?!

I’m feeling invigorated this week! I took last week off for a staycation. After a long, lazy summer, I had some housekeeping to do. Fall is my favorite season, and September through December are my busiest/funnest months of the year. I like to head into this time prepared, so I can really enjoy it.

Chris and I spent the week cleaning, hanging art, setting up the bones of my art studio, and getting out Halloween decorations. And we topped it off with a concert! We saw Train and Barenaked Ladies — it was amazing!

Here’s some Halloween stuff in my signature decorating style, which I call “I Spy Book.” Because I want you to see something new every time you look! 🤣🤪

I’m not quite ready to share pics of the studio yet. Mainly because it’s covered in boxes of supplies that need to be put in their new homes. I can’t wait to finish setting up, though, because I’m itching to get in there and MAKE STUFF!!! New season, new projects!

That got me thinking about your projects, too. I love seeing projects you make from my patterns. And I absolutely ADORE when you customize and make them uniquely yours. (It is one of our superpowers as knitters.)

Since I'm getting ready for the season's projects, I thought it would be fun to help you get started on your next project, too!

Here’s the plan:

  1. You post a project on any one of my patterns on Ravelry (it doesn't have to be finished!).
  2. I check for new projects on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
  3. I send a coupon code good for 50% off your total purchase from my Ravelry shop every time you add a new project.
  4. You go pattern shopping!

Since I'm all excited for the rest of the year, I'm going to keep this going until the end of December. You can only use each code once, but I'll send you a new one each time you post a new project.

Dive into your camera roll now, I'm sure you'll come up with something to share! 🎉

Here are a few of the patterns you’ll find there:

Thanks for being here! Talk to you next week!

Hello! How has your week been? My week has been... how should I say it... eventful. 😬 To start with, Bruno had a botfly under his skin! It was disgusting and so sad. And it took some time for the vet to figure out what it was, so lots of cone time. I don't know if you can tell from photos, but Bruno has the neck of a giraffe. We tried a cone that was tiny enough to fit around his neck and he could reach right around it. Then we tried combining a stuffed donut with the little cone. No luck....

Hello! Friday again! How was your week? I have one more ear to put on my Cat Hat! Wait ‘til you see what I did. 🫣 When I took it out to finally finish, there were 3 sizes of needles in the project bag. And I, of all people, didn’t have a project sheet in there with the details! But I did remember taking a picture to show you my progress previously. So I got out the picture and all the needles in my project bag, and compared them! It actually worked!!! So then I started picking up the stitches...

Hello, and happy Friday! I hope you've had a good week! I did finish my cat hat, but I haven’t added the ears yet. 👎🏼 The ears are actually my favorite part of this pattern! I feel so clever because the ears stand up on their own and don't flop over after wearing it all day. You can see in the photo, I'm also starting to knit myself a box full of scrunchies. 🤣🤪 I've been wearing my hair in a high ponytail every day and alternating between two of my favorite scrunchies: one that matches my...
