🧶 I finished something! 🧶

Happy Friday! Have you had time to work on anything fun this week?

I had some car knitting time, so I actually made progress on a project! I finished the cat I was knitting for my daughter. I’ll send a picture of it with her real cat as soon as I get the finishing touches on him.

Lately, I’ve been thinking about which knits I actually wear. There are projects I think I’m going to love and wear every day that don’t work out. Like my Seaglass cardigan. And then there are projects like the cardigan I knit for my Halloween costume last year. I love that thing and wear it every chance I get!

I realized that customization has a big impact on whether I wear the finished project. So, naturally, I gathered some customization ideas to make your knits more wearable. Please take a look and add your ideas in the comments so we can all be inspired!

In other news, I hate the splitty bamboo yarn I was going to use for a Kiss wrap. I tried everything and couldn’t make it work, so I’m crocheting a big mesh sweater with it instead. Because the color is gorgeous. The yarn is still miserable to work with, but the giant mesh works up quickly so I won’t have to suffer as long. 🤣🤪😫🧶

That’s pretty much all I have going on this week. Next week, my 3rd child graduates high school and we have family coming to town for it. I’m not anticipating a ton of knitting time, but you know I’m going to try!

Have a great weekend!

Hello! How has your week been? My week has been... how should I say it... eventful. 😬 To start with, Bruno had a botfly under his skin! It was disgusting and so sad. And it took some time for the vet to figure out what it was, so lots of cone time. I don't know if you can tell from photos, but Bruno has the neck of a giraffe. We tried a cone that was tiny enough to fit around his neck and he could reach right around it. Then we tried combining a stuffed donut with the little cone. No luck....

Hey there! How are you!?! I’m feeling invigorated this week! I took last week off for a staycation. After a long, lazy summer, I had some housekeeping to do. Fall is my favorite season, and September through December are my busiest/funnest months of the year. I like to head into this time prepared, so I can really enjoy it. Chris and I spent the week cleaning, hanging art, setting up the bones of my art studio, and getting out Halloween decorations. And we topped it off with a concert! We saw...

Hello! Friday again! How was your week? I have one more ear to put on my Cat Hat! Wait ‘til you see what I did. 🫣 When I took it out to finally finish, there were 3 sizes of needles in the project bag. And I, of all people, didn’t have a project sheet in there with the details! But I did remember taking a picture to show you my progress previously. So I got out the picture and all the needles in my project bag, and compared them! It actually worked!!! So then I started picking up the stitches...
