🧶 Wait 'til you see how much I did this week!

Happy Friday!!!! I got so much creative work done this week! What was your week like? Are you saving up your craftiness for the weekend? Reply and tell me all about it!

First, here's a picture of my Popcorn Ceiling cardigan. Remember popcorn ceilings? And the mess they left on your bunk bed when you scraped your head or feet on them? Bunk beds did make it easier to reattch your glow-in-the-dark stars every time they fell off! You know the stars on this cardigan glow in the dark. The glowing yarn was the inspiration for the whole thing! You may be able to tell from my notes that I had to figure out what was going on when I picked it back after months. 🤪

I also gathered a couple projects for a short trip. My scrunchie go-bag is always ready. The other is a tank top. I'm using stash yarn that isn't ideal, but it's a risk I'm willing to take. I swatched and read through the pattern, but I didn't cast on. We'll see how much I actually get done! 🤣

But the best thing I got done this week was publish 3 new tools!

The first one is called the Perfect Fit Map. It's a tool to help you gather your measurements before you start knitting a sweater.

The next two planning tools help you visualize and plan exactly the outcome you want from a knitting project. The goal is to finish projects you love instead of finishing and wishing you had done something just a little different. You can find them both in my Etsy shop. All of the tools work well together, and each one is crazy useful on its own as well. Click over to Etsy to learn more about them!

That's all I can think of today! I hope you have a fun weekend! Don't forget to check out the new planning tools. I'll talk to you next week!

Thanks for being here!

Hat knitting project on the needles

Happy Friday! How was your week? I’ve been getting another travel-friendly knitting project ready. I won’t be bringing my Popcorn Ceiling sweater because it’s too big to pack. I’m on the first sleeve, though. Yay, progress! 🎉 I’m still working on the tank top, but you know it’s impossible to bring only one project on a week long trip! So I started a fingering weight ribbed hat. I’ll write it up and send it to you after I decide how I want to do the decreases. I’m picturing a fingering weight...

knitting project with a frayed loop of yarn

Hello and happy Friday! I'm back from my trip and I brought back a knitting mistake to share! 🤣🤪 Only, I was too mad to remember to take a picture when it happened, so I recreated it as best I could for you. You know how every knit in the round pattern warns you to be careful not to twist the stitches? We've all done it at least once and ended up with a mobius strip. But have you ever managed to do it while knitting flat!?! Did you even know it was possible!?! I'm working on a tank top that...

Hello! How has your week been? My week has been... how should I say it... eventful. 😬 To start with, Bruno had a botfly under his skin! It was disgusting and so sad. And it took some time for the vet to figure out what it was, so lots of cone time. I don't know if you can tell from photos, but Bruno has the neck of a giraffe. We tried a cone that was tiny enough to fit around his neck and he could reach right around it. Then we tried combining a stuffed donut with the little cone. No luck....
